Grand Rapids Soccer Club announces new identity and LLC formation

Grand Rapids, MI - We are thrilled to announce the launch of Grand Rapids Soccer Club, a new men’s soccer team dedicated to bringing pro-level soccer to the heart of Grand Rapids.

Grand Rapids SC represents a fresh chapter in local sports, driven by a passion for the game and a vision to unite fans, players, and partners.

“We are excited to embark on this journey and elevate the professional soccer experience in Grand Rapids,” said TJ VanSlooten, Co-founder of Grand Rapids SC and former player of Grand Rapids FC (dissolved, 2020). “As we build on this foundation, we aim to reignite interest in soccer across Grand Rapids and provide the same fun, engaging, quality soccer that we have seen in the past.”

As we kick off this new chapter, we look forward to recreating the electric matchday atmosphere that Grand Rapids soccer fans loved. Our inaugural season will begin this Fall as we compete in the United Premier Soccer League (UPSL), facing teams such as Inter Detroit, Hamtramck City FC, Detroit United, and Alianza FC.
In the weeks leading up to the season, a community-designed badge will replace our temporary logo, with contest details forthcoming.
