GRSC LAUNCHES SEASON TICKETS, APP PARTNERSHIP, AND SUPPORTER GROUPS INITIATIVE
Season Tickets with Fanbase App:
Season Tickets and Single-Match Tickets are now available at gr.soccer/tickets. GRSC has partnered with the Fanbase App to manage and sell tickets, a step forward in delivering a professional experience for fans.
Key Fanbase App features include:
Digital Wallet integration.
Scanning system for faster admissions.
Season tickets.
Season Ticket Pricing:
$50 Grand Pass: General admission to all home games, including friendlies.
$100 Founding Member Pass: General admission plus an exclusive Founding Member Fan Bundle, including a scarf and additional items.
Standard single-game tickets begin at $12 online and $15 at the gate, with discounted tickets as low as $6 (see below).
Supporter Groups Initiative:
In tandem with this partnership, we proudly announce the GR Supporter Groups Initiative. This program opens doors for every fan and fuels our community’s energy. Join a supporter group, pool resources, and secure discounts to experience every match.
What is a supporter group?
A Supporter Group is the heartbeat of a club—fans who band together to cheer, chant, and stand for Grand Rapids SC. These are usually organized collectives registered as 501(c)(7) social clubs. There are a host of example Supporter Groups, such as Manchester United’s Red Army, Brighton & Hove Albion Supporters’ Club, and more locally, Detroit City FC’s Northern Guard Supporters, or Lansing Common FC’s The Branch. Supporter Groups breath life into the fanbase of any team.
Requirements and Benefits of Starting a GRSC Supporter Group:
Groups qualify as 501(c)(7) social clubs, formed for recreation and member enjoyment.
An annual membership fee applies per group, set at $500.
Groups must have a minimum of 20 members.
GRSC grants discounts for up to 250 members of your group.
2025 Discounts include:
50% off season tickets ($25 instead of $50).
50% off single-game tickets ($6 instead of $12).
Why the Membership Fee?
The $500 membership fee covers ticket discounts. At 20 members, it balances out; above that, GRSC loses revenue. It also pushes Supporter Groups to grow and stay sustainable, not just form for discounts and drop below 20. That’s its main purpose.
The Math:
25 members:
Season Tickets: $45 per person ($5 off) — $500 ÷ 25 = $20 membership fee + $25 discount = $45 per person.
Single Game Tickets: $10 per game ($2 off) — $500 ÷ 25 = $20 membership fee ÷ 5 games = $4 per game + $6 discounted rate = $10 per game.
250 members:
Season Tickets: $27 per person ($23 off) — $500 ÷ 250 = $2 membership fee + $25 discount = $27 per person.
Single Game Tickets: $6.40 per game ($5.60 off) — $500 ÷ 250 = $2 membership fee ÷ 5 games = $0.40 per game + $6 discounted rate = $6.40 per game.
The Vision:
Supporter groups unite fans to share costs and expand access. For membership dues, some might pay more to support others, especially those with limited means. This approach ensures anyone can cheer for Grand Rapids SC. Over time, discounts, fees, and membership sizes may shift to reflect demand and growth, all to build a strong, lasting core of supporters.
Your Role:
This initiative demands action from dedicated fans. If you know people eager to attend but limited by price, gather 25 or more and form a group. You control the finances—split the $500 evenly, secure a sponsor like a local bar, or mix approaches. GRSC sets the fee and size guidelines; you shape the rest. Any future adjustments will come with ample warning.
